犬と雷
最近雷がすごい。毎日スコールのような雨も降るし、やっぱり東京は、亜熱帯気候になりつつあるのか？雨は庭木に水をやらなくてすむので、助かるけど。
ところで我が家の駄犬、ミニチュアダックスのフィーは、雷には全く頓着しない。怖がる犬が多いと聞くが、子犬の頃から音にも光にもほとんど反応はなし。
たまに気が向くと、光と音の具合をチェックすると言わんばかりに庭に走り出て、空を見上げるのだ。（フィーに雷が落ちるんじゃないかと、いつも少し心配。まぁあんなチビ短足に落ちやしないか・・・。）
かなりの轟音となってもしばらく空を見上げ、光も楽しんでいるかのよう。飽きると部屋に入り、あとはどんなにヒドイ音にも光にも全く関係なくお昼寝続行。
留守番をさせている時に雷が鳴っても、一人心細く鳴いたりしてないか、、、なんて心配がないので助かるけど、なんかちょっと可愛げないんだよなー。かく言う私も全く怖くないですが・・。

私がむかしむかし住んでいた群馬の山奥は、カミナリの多い地域だったのですが、カミナリが鳴ると犬達が遠吠えをしていたのを記憶しています。そうそう、もう一つパトカーのサイレンにも遠吠えをしていました。
でも、東京では犬の遠吠えと言うのをあまりというより、ほとんど聞きませんね。やっぱり都会バージョンに躾けられてしまうのでしょうかね。

うちの犬はTVのドキュメンタリーでオオカミが遠吠えしているのを食い入るように見つめ、ちょっとだけ真似してましたけど（笑）
他の飼い主仲間の話だと、雷に呼応して遠吠えするというより、怖がっておしっこもらしちゃう犬が多いようですよ～。やっぱり都会ッ子ですかねぇ。
