BOY or GIRL
最近は女の子の赤ちゃんが欲しいお母さんが多いそう。
そう言われてみると、周りもみな「女の子が欲しい！」・・・と言っている妊婦が多い。理由を問うと、「花柄、レースなど可愛いものを着せたい」、「将来友達になれる」などを良く耳にする。納得、納得。
とっても納得はするものの、私はというと、実はずっと「男の子」が欲しいと思っている。それも妊娠前から。究極を言えば健康であればどっちでも良いのだけど、出来れば男の子。いや、絶対男の子。
理由はたくさんある。
１）知り合いのお母さんが男3兄弟の母で、それを見てずっと憧れていた。お父さんを入れて計4人の男性から守られて、まさしくお姫様・・・。私もああなりたい！（これが一番の理由？）
２）容姿の心配をしなくてよい。女の子だとどうしても気になるカオカタチ。でも男の子なら健康でさえあればどーでも良い！と割り切れる。気苦労が減る。
３）女の子に可愛い服を着せたり、お人形を与えたりするより、「着るものなんてどうでもいい、男なら体と心を鍛えろ！」といって外に放り出す子育ての方が、結局は私には向いてそう・・・。
４）オットを取られたくない・・・
この理由は皆に話すと笑われるけど、私は結構真剣。女の子が産まれたらオットが娘にメロメロになるのは必至。この世で私は彼にとっての「1番の女性」で無くなる可能性が高い。今でさえフィーと1番の座を争っているのに？これ以上（しかも強力な）ライバルは増やせません。

とまぁ、ざっと挙げてもこんな感じ。男の子が欲しいのだ。
で、先週の5ヶ月目健診。同居人も一緒にきたエコー健診で、二人してモニターに釘付け。これは腕？それとも足？まだ頭の大きさがピンポン玉くらいの赤ちゃんを詳細に観察すると・・・。ありました、股の間に突起物。先生ははっきりとは言わないけど、にやにや笑いながら「なんかあるねぇ」と一言。
まだ100%ではないけれど、「家庭内お姫様計画一歩前進」、と一人ほくそ笑んでマス。
